HI AGAIN. Can I tell you guys how excited I am that this game is reopening? ^_^ Well, here's the application for Satomi~ If anything needs to be changed or elaborated on just tell me and I'll get right on that. Also, um... I wasn't quite sure what should go in the experience sections, but I tried my best! ♥ Name: Satomi Nakano Age: 24 Profession: Commander in Team Sol Badges Collected: None Experience: Despite only recently being promoted, Satomi is a rather strong trainer. When the time calls for it. She was given her first Pokemon when she was 10, like most children, but she generally dislikes battling. Fourteen years of training experience has done nothing but teach her that her use other methods to get her way. When traveling, she often fought trainers she ran into, but she never felt the need to fight gym leaders. She'd always thought it was much too time consuming. Appearance: Satomi's appearance is very deceptive and it's very rare that she's suspected of being part of the criminal group. She stands about five-foot-three. Her hair is waist length and silver blonde. Her eyes are a combination of light hazel and blue and her face looks much younger and much more innocent than it should. When she's not dressed for evil doing, she usually wears very feminine clothes, flowing skirts and dresses. Personality: She's very calm, almost scarily so. She's rarely excited and, when she's on the job, it's even rarer for her to smile. She's not a generally friendly or outgoing girl unless she sees something she can profit from in the friendship. She can be rather cruel to other people and while she's not an exceptional friend to pokemon, she's much nicer to them than she is to the people around her. She's arrogant, in a way, incredibly proud of herself having reached such a good position in Team Sol. Even so, she finds it easy enough to convince others that she's as innocent as the sweet little teenager she looks like. She can be rather flirtatious, though certainly not the giggling teen kind of flirting, and uses that flirting to get people- generally men- to do what she wants. Name: Kodachi "Kody" Hayataka Age: 18 (Her birthday's June 25th, so I'm aging her now, just in case she gets approved after) Profession: Team Sol Commander Badges Collected: A few years back, she was in the semi-finals of the Shiko tournament, but lost. Experience: She's been with her 'older' Pokemon for a few years, so she's pretty good at training them. Appearance: Her natural hair color is purple, and her eyes are green. She hides that with disguises though. Personality: Snarky, sarcastic, loud, relatively "in your face", Kody's loud and brash personality makes her stand out despite her shorter stature of five and a half feet. She relies on a strong offense, and is known to shoot now and ask questions later. Her short fuse only ignited by her impatience and temper, Kody seems very difficult to get close to: but has intentionally put up that wall for reasons only she knows. Joining up with Team Sol has allowed her to push her Pokemon more, even joining in training with them. While she seems mean and heartless to her Pokemon, she really does care for them: and they are the only ones at the moment she trusts. Ever since becoming a commander, she's been pushing herself and her Pokemon even harder. Hometown: Kody was technically born in Viridian City, but her family moved to Magnolia due to a job transfer. History: Kody lived a relatively normal life, born as the second child to a relatively successful couple consisting of a doctor and a scientist. Her older brother, Kouichi, was always better at everything, and constantly won their parents approval. Especially when he was old enough to go into Pokemon Tech, and her parents constantly compared him to her, saying she should do the same. Kody had other plans in mind. She wanted to be a trainer. She wanted to be world champion one day. Her parents disapproved of this, stating that being a trainer was hard work, and wasn't even very secure. This escalated into a lot of 'why couldn't you be more like your brother' arguments before Kody's parents finally just shipped her off to Pokemon Tech. This conflict made Kody feel extremely insecure and it was very difficult for her to make friends. Unable to take the pressure of the school, Kody dropped out and went off on her own. She went out on her own, collecting badges and Pokemon. She was rather hard on her team, but it was because she wanted to win. For once, she wanted to prove that she was the best. She was a bit of a loner, relying mostly on her team and nobody else. It eventually paid off, and she won enough badges to be considered for the tournament. All her hard work was finally paying off. It was, until she got a few matches in. A young bratty trainer took advantage of her team's weaknesses and beat them mercilessly. There was no strategy involved, and Kody's team couldn't stand a chance. Even though she fought and pushed her team as hard as possible, she lost. Enraged, she stormed out of the stadium, and away from the harsh commentators, who sounded like echoing projections of her parents. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Name: Takeshi Ippongi Age: 18 Profession: Old Rose Gym Trainer Badges Collected: None. Experience: Takeshi has battle experience, but he doesn't have any experience at being a psychic. Eventually this'll change, once his abilities come into play. However, he's a very good trainer, and he takes care of his Pokemon well. Appearance: N/A Personality: Inwardly, Ippongi is a nice guy, but he's not always quick to showing it. Trying to be tough and constantly trying to prove himself makes it difficult to get that across, and the pressure of fitting into the mold he's assigned to gets to him and triggers his temper more than enough. He's also very stubborn and also appears dimwitted at times, but this is mainly because he misses out on the bigger picture. He gets jealous easily, especially around psychics like Yasushi, and takes his aggravation out via a wall or punching bag. In other words, he's given himself quite a complex, and is desperate to prove himself, even though he feels like it's all for naught. Hometown: Old Rose Town History: Ippongi was born to a young couple, the oldest child of two, and had a relatively normal childhood. However, there was one major issue that followed him through most of his existence: his mother was a psychic, which meant that one of her children should also be as well. Though his sister was thought to be the one with the special talent, it turns out that the ability was sensed in Takeshi. Despite the special training he received growing up however, he was unable to awaken it in himself, and became frustrated and more prone to fighting with others when word spread about the 'failed' psychic child. This lead him to be more and more frustrated with himself, but his mother never lost faith with him. She got him a position in the Old Rose gym as a trainer, hoping that the atmosphere would help develop his powers further and hearing that they've taken in many psychics-in-training over time. Takeshi hates it, and gives everyone a hard time, though it's mostly because he's jealous and frustrated that his powers haven't surfaced yet. Extra: Takeshi is a psychic, but his powers have yet to emerge. Other psychics can sense it in him, though. When they do emerge, he'll have the usual bag of goodies most psychics have, though probably not all at once: clairvoyance, telepathy, telekinesis, teleporting, etc. Or maybe it'll hit him all at once, and he won't be able to control it. We'll see. ----- Pokemon Team: (Please read the FAQ and rules. Pokemon not used in battle can be mentioned under extras. Copy and paste the below form for each Pokemon) Pokemon: Girafarig (Jira) Gender: Female Ability: Levitate Short Bio: A gift from Ippongi's mother, Girafarig has seen her develop her psychic skills and now hopes to nudge Takeshi's into fruition as well. She's very patient with him, and because she's in ways just as stubborn as he is, they've developed a close bond. Relationship With Trainer: Excellent. Experience: As experienced as Takeshi. Egg Moves: N/A TMs: Psychic (TM) Pokemon: Abra Gender: Female Ability: Synchronize Short Bio: A Pokemon that sort of just follows Takeshi around. She doesn't battle as she doesn't listen to Takeshi at all, but seems to enjoy antagonizing the trainer by randomly appearing around him and disrupting whatever he's doing, or teleporting him into a tree. In actuality, she's really jealous that Takeshi has these 'abilities' and won't 'talk' to her. Relationship With Trainer: Poor. Name: Shinji Maeda Age: 16 Profession: Pokemon Trainer / Artist Badges Collected: None yet. Experience: He's battled a few times, but other than that he's not very experienced. Appearance: (Anything not covered by their PB. This may be skipped) Personality: Very shy and quiet, preferring to observe than to directly interact. He's rather awkward when it comes to being around other people his age, though once he overcomes his shyness he's very dedicated to his friends. He enjoys training his Pokemon, though he is against the cruel treatment of them, and actually enjoys letting them play outside of their Pokeballs while he draws them. He doesn't talk much, and he'll usually stop talking mid-conversation to draw if inspiration strikes. He's very polite (preferring to tack on formalities, even with his friends), he just isn't very good with human interactions. Since he is very interested in his surroundings, he usually can be found observing others or nature, lost in thought over what to include in his next art piece. Even so, he only draws because people enjoy it: not that he doesn't mind the spot light, but being in the public eye makes him feel uncomfortable, blushy and awkward. While it may seem like this kid doesn't have a backbone, if you push around someone he cares for (be it a friend or a Pokemon) then he'll snap and step up to the plate. Hometown: Sienna History: Shinji was raised rather normally, living at home with his parents and his grandfather. His grandfather moved in with them after his wife passed away. For as long as Shinji can remember, his grandfather was an integral part of the family: primary babysitter and caretaker especially while his parents were working, and even moreso when his father joined the Pokeforce and got shipped overseas. Joining the police ranks was very important for his father, as it was for his: however, Shinji really didn't want to follow that route. Taking more after his mother, Shinji was very soft spoken and shy from an early age, and became more attracted to the more creative aspects of life: more specifically drawing, which flourished with the help of his Grandfather's old art work. While he was no longer a Manga-ka, his grandfather kept every drawing and strip ever published: and even at an early age Shinji became fascinated with his grandfather's style and plotlines. Spending so much time with his grandfather and hearing his stories lead the young Shin-kun to develop an admiration for the older man. Around 6 years of age, Shinji began to work on his drawing, and over time his skill improved. No matter what he would draw, his grandfather always approved. This encouraged Shinji more and more, and he would spend all his free time working on his art: sitting off to the side in recess, doodling in his notebooks. His grades didn't suffer, although a lot of his classmates viewed him as 'weird' because he was never without a sketchbook, of which he still carries with him present day. It was the last book his grandfather owned and used before he retired, and he gave it to Shinji as a gift. This encouraged him further: to pay homage to his grandfather's manga-ka lineage, he would make the Maeda name known once more. About halfway through his middle school years, one of the drawings he submitted got accepted. He earned a spot in a local paper! It wasn't much, but to him it was a big accomplishment, especially after all the reject notices he received. He occasionally drew Pokemon comic strips, but his true skill came out in his drawing. He only drew in black and white, to pay homage to the artwork style his Grandfather did years ago. His Grandfather encouraged him to go out and be a Pokemon trainer: to see the world and find new inspiration for his art, and even though his mother wasn't too fond of the idea, she saw that Shinji really wanted to do it and agreed. And so, with a sketchbook in one hand and a Pokeball in the other, Shinji headed out to make his own history. Extra: He draws wonderfully, and is probably well known for some of his work as it's been published in a few places locally. Name: Dr. Yew/Tanaka, Aki. Age: Thirty-one. Profession: Pokemon Professor and Sol Boss. Badges Collected: None. Experience: Inexperienced as a professional battler, Aki is willing to do anything to capture his Pokemon, even if it means injuring other Pokemon and their trainers. He will sacrifice his grunts without hesitation or remorse. That’s what makes him dangerous. Appearance: Dr. Yew goes for days without sleeping, eating or bathing. He often looks bored or disgruntled, and projects his voice and posture to seem commanding. Personality: Seemingly harsh and firm, Aki fears that opening up to people will result in losing them like his Gardevoir. Her loss developed him into an intensely focused person. His experiments are all that matter to him, so just about every other aspect of his life is ignored. He has very little patience with anyone who isn't as intelligent and educated as he is, and he tends to talk down to them regardless of how important they are. He has little to no charisma and isn't interested in faking it. Put together, these things cause Aki not to be well liked by anyone. However, his mind is well-respected by those who understand his work. He shows signs of diminishing sanity, particularly since the loss of Gardevoir. Name: Garth Mattock Age: 27 Profession: (Unwilling) Gym Leader. He also makes medicine. Badges Collected: None. Experience: Very little, especially considering his position. Garth has only been battling pokemon for three years. However this is padded somewhat by his knowledge as a doctor. He battles overly defensively, prioritizing safety even when he really should be attacking. Appearance: Garth is short and a quite skinny, though he tends toward loose clothing which hides his build well. He has quite dark skin, a combination of tanning very well and spending an enormous amount of time outdoors and in a greenhouse, and yellow eyes. His green hair is far more curly than he would really like it to be. Working in the environment he does, he tends to amass grass stains and mud stains with commendable efficiency. Personality: Garth is quiet and tends to come off as unfriendly, cold and impersonal but is almost always willing to offer help if asked. He tends to either speak with too many words or too few depending on his mood and the subject, finding things he dislikes speaking about unworthy of anything more than the smallest possible amount of words. He is easily scared and quite ashamed of being so easily scared., tending toward caution at all times. Usually civil to others, he tends to expect similar and is quite intolerant of rudeness. Experience: Being the last leader, Yasushi has excellent battle experience, and is skilled at handling Psychic Pokemon. Appearance: Yasushi is quite tall. He's a stoic-seeming character. One can tell when he speaks that he’s firm. Personality: Yasushi feels intellectually superior to most gym challengers and sometimes resorts to travelling to see if there are strong trainers and noteworthy people who can face his abilities. An introverted person, he finds it difficult to get along with others; his blunt words don't gear trainers to like him, and he seems to prefer solitude over socializing. He’s not pushy, but convinced people should listen to him. He will tell somebody ‘you are going to do this’ and not accept arguments. He doesn't insist people like him; he just wants respect. He believes he is competent enough to have his ego, and his concern for the young psychics at his gym is genuine. In short, Yasushi’s capable of making friends, and many unfriendly acquaintances. Name: Anthony "Purple" Larkson Age: 25 Profession: Sienna Town Gym Leader/ part time Co-Ordinator Badges Collected: Three from Kanto, two from Johto, has 1 Ribbon from this year's contest Experience: As a Gym Leader and the 5th one at that, Purple is not to be underestimated. He, while he and his team have been traveling together for over 10 years, though he and Pie have been together for almost 15 years now. Appearance: Purple favors the color purple for his attire, with a steady supply of purple shirts in his backpack, along with dark colored jeans. He also dons a purple bandana and black gloves with orange tips when traveling or seeing challengers. Personality: Purple has two distinct sides. On the one hand, he's the serious, no nonsense Gym Leader that has earned the respect he wants. On the other, Purple is a true social butterfly. He loves to gush and will talk any open ear off. Some would call it a negative aspect to his personality, but Purple sees it positively, in that people eventually talk back to him, if only to tell him to shut up. Purple is also incredibly high-strung and sometimes flustered. During his day, he's been known to stop in the middle of doing something to make sure he picked up something he might need. Name: Alvar Moore Age: 52 Profession: Champion Badges Collected: 8, collected many years ago. Experience: 38 years of being totally awesome. Appearance: Alvar is not as young as he used to be but no less huge. He is very tall, quite wide and very muscular. If it weren’t for the fact that he spends nearly every waking moment smiling and laughing he would be incredibly intimidating (and he manages to be quite intimidating despite that). He has short hair that was black at one point but certainly isn’t anymore. It’s starting to thin out. Personality: Alvar is loud and energetic, putting all his effort into everything he does. He feels that there are no ‘unimportant’ tasks and that putting anything less than full effort into anything is an insult to one’s own capabilities. He is almost contantly happy and it takes a great deal to upset him. He loves his family, both human and pokemon, very dearly and threats to his family or friends are the only thing that can consistently make him mad. He also likes to spontaneously decide people are part of his family. Hometown: Russet History: The oldest child of the oldest child of the oldest child and so on of the Moore family, Alvar was expected to work in the mines from the day he was old enough to carry a pick until the day he was too old to. He almost did, going into the mines with his father and his Rhyhorn every day through his early childhood and starting to help his father with his work at a very young age. It was a miner’s strike when he was fourteen that prompted him to take Terra, his Rhyhorn, and see the world. His cheerful, confident attitude helped make things easier for him as he travelled the island collecting badges and friends. Once he had collected all eight badges he settled down in Russet again, returned to working in the mines and eventually married a pretty young schoolteacher. He would take a break from mining for a few months every summer to participate in the pokemon league. After losing in the finals and placing second six years straight he finally became champion at 23. Only a month later, his first son was born. As the years passed and his family grew, Alvar encouraged his children to work with pokemon rather than in the mines. Machines were coming into use and he was afraid that people might not be needed there anymore. Extra: He takes in injured and abandoned pokemon often, enough that he is the first person the local pokemon centre will turn to if an abandoned pokemon is left with them. He likes to find homes for them or give them away to trainers who he trusts enough but at any given time his home will be full of pokemon. His wife is, thankfully, very understanding. I have a picture of the gym in my head but I'm not quite sure I managed to get that into words, so I apologize in advance XD Also, I noticed there's some pictures (two towns and the lake) and I was wondering how you guys did that *_* Name: Ayumi Miura Age: 25 (her birthday is June 30th, which is when she'll turn 25) Profession: Gym Leader and previously a coordinator Badges Collected: None from Shiko. She's collected all eight from Sinnoh where she participated in the Sinnoh league Experience: Strong battle experience, it's somewhat necessary for a Gym Leader after all, as well as good experience coordinating Appearance: Ayumi is quite short, standing only 4 feet 11 inches. She has blue eyes and she wears her long blonde hair in pigtails. She's a rather innocent looking girl and often wears sailor style clothes, especially when she's having a gym battle Personality: Ayumi is occasionally flaky and childlike, though all the while she will insist that everyone stops treating her like a kid and start treating her like the adult she is. She will, every once in a while, have a significant moment of maturity, especially when it comes to caring for her Pokemon and battling challengers at her gym. She is very outgoing and extroverted and seems to make friends very easily. She's too trusting, however, and might end up getting involved with the wrong sort. She has a very bad temper which has gotten her into a tight spot more than one occasion. She's impatient, impulsive, stubborn, and many think that this makes her highly unsuited for her position as Gym Leader. Name: Glen Moore Age: 19 (technically she’d be 18 right now but her birthday falls alround the same time the rp would start) Profession: Dojo Master (Glen, aided by one of her older brothers, leads an unofficial fighting gym in Orange Town. She is qualified to give out trainer’s licences but her gym is not otherwise recognized by the Shiko League. She intends to challenge Tamaki for the position of first Shiko League Gym but has yet to succeed.) Badges Collected: None Experience: Glen’s been surrounded by competitive battling all her life. Appearance: Glen is short and quite muscular for a girl. Combined with a boyish figure and a baby face this makes both her age and her gender difficult to guess. She has short, dark hair and large blue eyes and an old scar on the side of her cheek. She isn’t particularly bothered by clothing, though she likes clothes that are easy to move in and so will rarely be found in anything that can be tripped over, caught on things or otherwise get in the way. Personality: Glen is critical and sometimes quite abrasive. While she’s grown out of expecting perfection from everyone she is unforgiving of people putting anything less than their all into anything and sometimes struggles to tell the difference between genuine struggling and not trying hard enough. She is easily as, if not more, critical of herself and never puts anything less than her all into any task, no matter how menial. She is also a strong believer in the idea of effort being capable of overcoming a lack of natural talent. She can often be heard saying that anything worth achieving can be achieved through sheer effort, tenacity and desire to succeed. The one thing other than less than 100% effort that offends Glen is cheating. Lawbreaking falls under this, too. Her reason for this is ‘because it’s wrong’, with little care for the reason the rules were put into place in the first place. She is also a total and complete health freak and whenever she has free time she can be found using it to devise new training and diet plans for herself, her pokemon and people she just happens to know. In the case of the latter she then goes on to force these plans onto people who may or may not want them. Glen does have a softer side and it’s begun to show itself more often as she’s matured. She has a soft spot for people who try their hardest and request her help. She is an uncharacteristically doting aunt to her five-year-old nephew whenever she gets to see him, spoiling the kid rotten. Hometown: Originally from Russet, Glen now lives in a small appartment in Orange Town. Name: Kido Tamaki Age: 22 years old Profession: Gym Leader, part time legendary bird researcher, all time professional cutie and ‘according to Glen’ a dork. Badges Collected: Total of 4 from the Orange Islands Experience: Tamaki has had several years experience with his pokemon since early in his career. At first he was studying up to be a water trainer and still has most of his water pokeom. But circumstances forced him to change his mind and he followed the path of wanting to train flying type pokemon after meeting his chatot Chazz. He’s known for being able to perform with his birds stunts showing coordination skills and has proven to be an excellent handler when it comes to birds’ temperaments. Appearance: He has a scar on his back from an attack by a gyrodos from when he was younger and on Orange Islands. There’s a small marking on his left shoulder that was a badly created self tattoo, which has been fading over the years. He has his ears pierced but he only wears the earring when he feels like it. Normally it’s a clear stud that’s used to keep the hole open. He’s also got a scar on his neck that he keeps covered up by some makeup. He really doesn’t like to show that one. Personality: How does one describe Tamaki. Well to start with Kind is the first word you probably think of. He doesn’t know when to stop being nice to people. Well he does but most don’t think that he can. Tamaki is the sort of guy that would go above what’s needed to help a friend and knows that, in turn, most will do the same for him. He’s not shy at all, except when it comes to girls, in which case he tends to clam up to a point. Outspoken as normal, Tamaki was for a while a spokes person for MooMoo milk, and used that as a way of showing off his excitable nature. Another word that comes to mind with Tamaki is understanding, and brotherly. An only child Tamaki naturally tends to be protective of younger trainers. He’s kind and gentle with them when they first join and will be tough on them as they grow more as trainers. He also understands when it comes to feeling emotional distress that comes with being a trainer. Tamaki is compassionate by nature and fun loving. He enjoys joking with other people a lot, and teasing fellow leaders. He does have trouble though coping with loss, failure and has a temper when it comes to being told he’s stubborn and head strong. Tamaki tends to leap before he looks and tries to compensate this by acting like a wall for other trainers. He generally has no major strategy when it comes to attacking. Like a statue he carries out orders and some wonder if he’s even human. Edgar does show his humanity once and a while and it’s during those times that one should really be scared. When Edgar begins to grin, his sadistic side is usually showing. Even then however, Edgar does destroy the illusion of calm as he continues to almost whisper when giving commands and not making sudden movements. This ruthless villain will stop it nothing to win a battle or finish a job and it has lead to various injuries of his Pokémon he received from Team Sol. Name: Rochelle Moss Age: 16 Profession: Trainer Badges Collected: Two Experience: She was battling with her Hoppip before technically becoming a trainer (for many years), and has about half a year under her belt otherwise. Appearance: Rochelle is pretty plain. She has brown hair that is barely shoulder length, and brown eyes to match. Average height too, but she has scars from some particularly nasty fights. One is in the space between her forefinger and thumb, obtained from a knife fight with a boy she later developed a crush on, and another from a protruding bone that came with her broken leg (thanks Machoke). Rochelle doesn't wear nice clothes in her day-to-day life, but if a special occasion comes along, she doesn't mind dolling herself up. Her pokeballs, pokedex, and other assorted items are held on her belt. Personality: Rochelle is a competitor. That's what she does. Because of her interests in fighting, she's always been surrounded by boys, or girls much bigger than her, who have always been telling her that she couldn't do it. She likes being the underdog because it gives her a goal, and it makes her push harder than she would otherwise. Rochelle doesn't care that her team of Pokemon isn't an all-star team, but more of an eclectic bunch. Her motivation to come out on top despite the odds rubs off on her Pokemon, and most of the people who know her. If she likes you, prepare to be the best of friends. She will do anything for you. She will be your scapegoat, your confidante, and the one who smashes the kneecaps of the ex-boyfriend who cheated on you and broke your heart. But if she doesn't like you, she probably never will. Rochelle is stubborn, doesn't take losses well, and holds grudges longer than she can remember what they're about. She isn't very smart, but she's confident in what she does regardless. Hometown: Apricot City History: Rochelle was born in Apricot City. Since before she could walk, she was always a rowdy one, unlike her parents, who could be described as timid. Rochelle got into a lot of fights at school, not because she couldn't get along with the other kids, but to prove her worth to the boys. (Who wants to play stupid girly games?) Her teachers considered her to be a delinquent, and threatened her with expulsion unless she could get her act together. Badges Collected: One badge from Tamaki Experience: Ester’s experience only comes from her brief snit as a trainer at the age of 12. She is still new to a lot of things, thus rather inexperienced when it comes to the world of trainers and pokemon. As for breeding she’s been in training since she was 13, so roughly five years worth of knowledge about the breeding and raising of pokemon. Appearance: She’s five feet five inches tall, has brown eyes, though in some light it appears violet. She has a scar on her knee from a bike spill thus why she rarely rides a bike and uses roller skates or roller blades to get places. She also tends to wear lots of skirts and her favorite color is purple. The only time she wears jeans is when she is dressed for her job as a breeder which is a white and purple polo shirt with a pair of jeans. Oh and she has a scarf that she wears a lot. Personality: Ester is a very open and energetic. She’s willing to do anything for her friends and is loyal to her pokemon, which get her into trouble as she rushes head first without thinking very much on it. She doesn’t easily quit and doesn’t really know where her limit is. She keeps pushing herself to be the best and strives to make friends with everyone she comes across. When it comes to her temper she can become very upset if people are bullying or causing harm to a pokemon. Personality: Your first impression of Lulu will probably be correct. She is cold, cutthroat, intimidating, and makes no effort to convince people otherwise. If she doesn't like you, she won't tell you outright, but you'll certainly know it. Lulu is somebody who does what she needs to do, finds what she needs to find, and destroys those who are in her way. The woman's default setting is ruthless and mean, the combination of her quick wits, the power of her Pokemon, and psychological warfare makes her an excellent detective. Those who are able to crack her cold exterior will find that she is always willing to help a person or Pokemon in need. Her battle lineup has had many temporary members, Pokemon that were in need of help and received it from her.They will also find that when she loves, she loves with everything she is. After her brother betrayed her, she has been cautious and has dodged around deep relationships with other humans out of fear of something like that happening again. All lovers she has had in recent years have been short-lived or just flings. She prefers to devote herself to her work, and fulfills her duties as a gym leader without mistakes. Appearance: see PB Personality: Ember is a very focused, if not quiet person. Once she sets to work on something she cares about, she works on it until it's done. And done WELL. Always striving to be the best gym leader whe can be, she rarely finds time to do things outside the gym. At least until all the stres bottles up and it explodes into a surprise journey without telling the trainers. Other than that, Ember is very reliable and can be counted on to do her part in anything. She takes great pride in how happy she keeps her pokemon. It's one of her greatest pet peeves to see pokemon mistreated by stupidity, or worse, on purpose. If you are a pokemon abuser, you will be on her bad side. Ember likes to help new trainers and likes to hold small workshops whenever new pokemon are ready to leave the breeding center. Name: Max Boyd Age: 12 Profession: Team Sol Grunt Badges Collected: None Experience: Average. He's okay for a 12-year-old, but not quite ready to play with the big boys yet. Appearance: He has a big scar on his left left from when his Totodile almost ripped his leg in half. As for the rest, see PB. Personality: Max is a selfish, spoiled, ungrateful, disrespectful, lying little brat. He doesn't care about people, he just cares about getting what he wants, which is to be the best. He is vaguely aware that he is nowhere near being the best Pokemon trainer in the world, but he doesn't show it on his face. He is extremely cocky, and no number of defeats will change that. He's a pathological liar, too. He lies to most people about who really is out of necessity, but he'll even lie to his allies just to see how far he can go without being found out. Because he's a cute kid, he can easily pull off the facade of innocent new trainer, and not once has this been questioned. But in private, Max is prone to tantrums and screaming. He yells, the throws things, he runs away from home, and convinces his Ponyta to set things on fire. Hometown: Blackthorn City History: Just like many 10-year-olds in Johto start their journey, Max made a trip to New Bark Town to pick a starter with the full support of his parents. He chose Totodile immediately, because it was the most badass looking of the three. Despite his new Pokemon trying to rip off his leg on their first night on their own, he was optimistic and confident that he could take out anything along the way. He was proven wrong when he challenged the first gym and suffered an embarrassing defeat. Max went back to the gym multiple times, and lost every match. He left to travel and train more, and captured Ponyta, and came back a few months later only to lose again. Frustrated with his unending losing streak, he went back home, where his parents suggested that he give up training and try something else. Outraged at the very idea, he grabbed his Pokemon, and all the money in his mom's purse, and ran away to Shiko to take on the leaders there. Before he was given a chance to do that, he ran into a Team Sol grunt who intended to steal his Pokemon. He defeated the grunt in a battle, and the grunt, figuring he'd get in trouble for not bringing any Pokemon back, thought he'd get away with it if he brought back new recruits instead. Max listened to his pitch, and having no objection to Team Sol's sinister actions, figured that joining a group that gave you free Pokemon as long as you found them new ones was a pretty sweet deal. Under Team Sol's wing of dubious morality, Max has improved vastly, and his goals have changed from becoming Shiko Champion to climbing the Sol ranks. He doesn’t possess a foul temper, is rarely seen in a bad mood, and prefers solitude to socializing; he finds pleasure in his work and the comfort success will bring. He keeps with his optimistic attitude and tries to do the best he can. He’s also a lying, conniving asshole. He has no moral qualms with manipulating people into doing terrible things for no reason other than his own amusement. He's angry, he's bitter at the world for not giving him what he wants, and if he heard Sol wanted to remake the world he’d think that’s awesome. Jirou considers Pokemon to be worth keeping only if they're useful, and enjoys manipulating people into acting in a similar manner for kicks, He's immature enough to deny the blame, and points his finger at the victims for making the decision. H usually wears a pair of dark blue denim jean shorts, a red t-shirt, and a black vest over the t-shirt. Personality: He is very determined to dso what he can to become a great trainer. His father was a renowned trainer from Kanto, who came to visit the Shiko Region. His father passed away when he was younger and he strives to live up to his father's achievements. Hometown: Chestnut Town History: His mother and father moved to Chestnut town when they married and he was born soon after. His father would tell him stories about all of his adventures as a pokemon trainer. One day his father was late coming home from an assignment for work. His mother received a call that said her husband had died in an accident. They never really learned what really happened to him, but from that day on, Justin was determined to become a great trainer like his father. She tries her best to keep everything running smoothly - trainers safe, gyms open, various league events happening on time and so on. The simple fact that this means working with a lot of young children and pokemon makes it a lot more difficult than it sounds in the best of circumstances. Team Sol are really, really not helping. Badges Collected: None Experience: Not a great deal in actual battles, though she makes a lot of effort to know as much as she can about theory to better help out cute little trainers. Appearance: Marion is very pale and quite skinny, managing to remain rather frail despite being quite active. She has very long brown hair and green eyes and wears glasses at all times. She has a (very) interesting collection of hats. Personality: Marion is a cheerful, generally pleasant person. She tries her best to maintain a cheery and upbeat attitude regardless of circumstances, feeling that getting upset over bad things only really makes them worse. She struggles to keep this attitude up when under stress but the more she struggles at it the harder she tries, leading to her being nervous and irritable and sometimes all-out panicking but still totally chipper all at the same time in particularly bad situations. She is obedient unless she has a good reason not to be and tends to do what’s asked of her as long as it’s reasonable. Being contrary never got anyone anywhere, after all. She is concerned with the wellbeing and safety of others, sometimes to the point of being overbearing. Her own willingness to take risks seems to be inversely proportional to her ability to see them and she takes ‘out of sight, out of mind’ far more literally than anyone really should. She has a habit of jumping to the wrong conclusions and can be very stubborn at times. Her father’s influence has left her with a great interest in history, though she is not particularly studious. She also doesn’t take well to being told things are impossible, especially due to a disability, and does rallying/collecting/throwing petitions around for causes that hold her interest, usually to do with making the pokemon leagues more accessible or with cubones. Name: Mikomi Ketsui (Likes to be called Miko). Age: 16 Gender: Female. Profession: A trainer. Badges Collected: None so far. Has trained and collected Pokemon since the age of ten like most trainers, but didn't have much interest in leagues until a couple of weeks before her sixteenth birthday. Experience: Though she has no badges, Miko has a good amount of experience and her Pokemon rarely disobey her. It was harder when she was just starting out, and her Pokemon grew too strong for her to control and didn't bother listening to her, but she was able to earn their respect over time. Appearance: Miko is an average height of 5'4, if not a little on the short side. On her head there rests a black headband, decorated with a tiny black bow that's placed on the right side. Her shirt has short sleeves, is white, and covers half of her black shorts. There's a black vest that goes over the t-shirt, and her hands are covered by black and white checker patterned fingerless gloves. Below her shorts she wears black and white striped tights, and on her feet are black combat boots. (Do you see a pattern?) Personality: She's headstrong and determined, although easily distracted. When she's decided to do something, she'll try her hardest at it--until she finds something else that warrants her immediate attention, at which point she'll drop whatever she was currently working on. Because of that lack luster dedication, she rarely accomplishes anything she sets out to do, and if she does accomplish anything it's because there were pushes and shoves from her friends and family along the way. The only thing that she always has and always will love is being a Pokemon trainer, and it's also the only thing her attention can never be taken from. Miko loves all Pokemon, although some creep her out and others downright terrify her. All in all she's a pretty normal teenage girl--she has two parents who love her dearly, although they refuse to give her money, saying that she 'needs to learn the value of a dollar.' As is the case for most teenage girls, Miko cares about her appearance, which is why she makes sure to always match and coordinate her outfits ahead of time--even though wearing white may not be a wise choice for a trainer, seeing as she'll no doubt get dirty. Her manners were carved into her at a young age, and to strangers she'll be perfectly pleasant--but if there's anyone who manages to anger her, or anyone she considers a friend, she'll be nothing but honest, if not rude, to them. She's not afraid to resort to violence if the situation calls for it--and that could range from a subtle kick in the shin to an outright punch in the face.
